About Me
Hello and welcome,

I am Patricia. I am a wearer of many hats, including fellow human, mama, wife, daughter, psychologist and helper.

I’m glad you found me. Although, if you are here, it’s probably because you are struggling; and I am sorry to hear that. But you are not alone and you do not have to go through this alone. I am here to walk alongside you and help you navigate the challenging aspects of your life.

Read below to find out about me and how I could help.
Background Story
The name Ignite Your Light Psychology has several origins. It happens to be the title of one of my favourite songs. But more importantly, it comes from my belief that we all have a light that shines within us. This light is the essence of our being and it burns bright.
At times, challenges and stressors cause our light to flicker. When we are faced with complex challenges, like trauma, addictions, or emotional and/or mental stress, that light can become covered. Caked in mud, if you will. The more challenges, the more layers. The light is still there, but it’s hard to see.

On a personal note, as a Mama of two, busy young boys, I know how overwhelming the transition to motherhood is and how beautiful and exhausting parenting can be. That light that I spoke about earlier, can begin to be obstructed as everything becomes about the baby/child. Layers.

At Ignite Your Light, I will partner with you to peel back the layers and allow your light to shine bright again.
